	The Rainbow Tornado Stairwell Sculpture
August 2024, Washington, DC
Commissioned by a family of six in Washington, DC, this dynamic stairwell sculpture was designed to be both visually captivating and functionally protective. The family sought a vibrant, whimsical piece to as statement piece in their newly constructed passive home. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the sculpture serves as a safety measure, ready to break a fall should one of their young children accidentally tumble over the railing.

Our team was delighted to bring this concept to life, as this design aligns perfectly with our mission to creates art that seamlessly blends form and function. While we sincerely hope the Rainbow Tornado will never need to fulfill its safety purpose, knowing it’s there provides peace of mind for the family.
