A functional beauty
Safety and design
need not be at odds
The 'Rainbow Tornado' Stairwell Sculpture was commissioned by a highly creative family of six in Washington, DC. This dynamic stairwell sculpture was designed to be both visually captivating and functionally protective. The family was looking for a vibrant, whimsical statement piece in their newly constructed home. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the sculpture serves as a safety measure, ready to break a fall should one of their young children accidentally tumble over the railing.
We were delighted to bring this concept to life, as this design aligns perfectly with our mission to create art that blends form with function. While we hope the Rainbow Tornado will never need to fulfill its safety purpose, knowing it’s there provides peace of mind for the family and a conversation piece for every gathering.
